April Doll Meet 12/04

It is hard to believe that today is 15th April and I took 3 days to post a handful of pictures.
Wonder Why? Followings are the reasons:
  • - On sunday, I spent the whole day in bed as my back was aching like hell. Can't sit/stand long.. -__-"
  • - On Monday, as usually "Monday Blues", I was dead tired from work and my back have not recovered fully....
  • - On Tuesday aka today, I stay behind in the company till 11.15pm to accompanied my aunt who was having a conferencing call from oversea as she was the only one in the office Creepy, If i were to be alone

So this post is based on "Flashback" :)

Introduction
April, 12 was a rainy day thus it was held in the indoors. I was surprised to see the numbers of doll owners upon my arrival! a lot are new faces. But it seem awkward for me and Xue Ni to walk to the area as we can sense looks from general public as well as doll owner. Keke~ Luckily Jasmine waved at us, at least it got some tension off from me..

So K.I.S.S [Keep it short and sweet], Here are the pictures : sigh age catching up

My first experience with sewing machine

Went to Xue Ni's house on Sunday to learn sewing from her mom.
It was our first sewing project is sew a yukata!

LOL~ I didn't manage to take the pictures of the process as i was too busy with the clothes that are assigned to me. So we start from drawing the pattern to the sewing of every pattern together. We started our project at 5++ pm and I ended up staying at her place till 11pm and have only completed the clothes. (^^" belt excluded due to time constraint)

The next day, after i got back from school, i quickly set up my mom's sewing machine using the "trial and error" method. I have faced some problem during the first 2 hours as the thread kept trapping after first round of sewing... Sigh~
And after much struggling, I finally found my way!!

So i manage to complete it with the belt. (but the belt is still not complete)

So here is my hard work. (^^ Xue Ni's mom helped me with the collar and the rim at the sleeve end, was hard for me as a newbie and time was running out. Really want to thank her alot)

Instead of Japanese Costume, it now looked
more like Chinese Costume. ^^

I made some modication to make the belt more Chinese Looking~

Grandma's Plants...

I have saved this post as a draft for quite some time as i couldn't have time to upload my pictures. Finally i'm able to do so after my school projects and examinations *relief*

Ahem~ Ahem~
My grandma [mother's side] is an expert in gardening. Plants that bare not fruit or flowers started blooming when they are taken under her care.

Here are some pics of her small little garden:

This is my favourite plant, Hoya Multiflora
They looks like stars/goldfish at a certain angles.
Quite an interesting plant ;)
Orchid flowers [Yellow & Purple]

Do you know? [Base on grandma's info]
Plants without roots such as flower brought from florist can last more than 2~3 weeks [looking healthy ] if you use panadol pills.
Of course the commonly use one would be sugar water [which every secondary science student should know] but i wonder if it attract ants.
Ok~ That all folks to my grandma's little garden! ;)

Chinese New Year!

This year, Chinese New Year was a bit different from the previous years

Due to the fact thats projects and presentation ended just 2 days before the first day of CNY, I hardly have any time to buy any new clothing. So with some nagging from my mom, I lazily got myself a black jean from downstair and a blouse from G2000 at nearby shopping mall.

For me, buying of clothing is always a headache because it's the only time i shop and buy my clothing. This is probably due to the difficulty in searching for the right size and it wasn't my habbit to shop for clothes *sometime it just make me wonder if i was born as a girl...

So I couldn't find any clothes to my liking and have decided my last resort.... to buy formal wear from G2000, i don't give a damn if relatives are going to say I looked old or what....

But to my suprise i found something to my liking and it has my size!!! Regardless of the price, i brought it!

Other than the design, I brought it for another propose... *grin*

Saw it?
The originally ribbon for my blouse was black
but mom said that it looks like attending a funeral wake
so i change the ribbons to red[which we have at home]

LOL~ Other than this, I also did some crazy stuff during the eve...

I make a mini bag for my doll to put his oranges...

Look at the comparison~ *Grin*

I also did some crazy during new year the first day itself~

Paying respect to the elders

Guess what~

He got Ang Pow from grandfather, dad, aunt, grandaunt and grandma...
*really his*

It was quite an enjoyable day for me and Louise ;) My relatives were feeling funny yet helpless at the sight of me. keke~

Xinni's Belated Birthday Present

The first time I walk pass the music shop in Westmall, I was attract by the mini instrument (mini volin) on the glass display window. After a closer look, i spotted Xinni's favourite musical instrument- Clarinet. Thought of sharing this new to her.

This was months before her birthday.

I went another trip there to purchase it but to my dispair it was sold out, thus i place an order. The lady employee warn me about the stock which only came quarterly. And of course i'm fine with it as it is still early, i left my contact no. and happily went off.

But I wait for nearly a year and went there a few time to check. Each time is a different person that serve me. Kinda pissed during my 4th visitation, I told them that I almost waited for a yr and it's for my friend's birthday present. They reply me and say "Stock will not be coming in, u might want to try XXXXX or XXXXX (Address of other music shops)

Feel like screaming this at them: "Seriously I would appreciate if you call and inform!Duh~" *bet they even lost my contact no and name.*

Thanks to Xueni's who brought mini guitar for her doll previously, She told me that I should be able to find it in Orchard. So we went together and...

YUP! It was there.

So here 2 pic of how it looks.

To Xinni: Apology for the delay of present! u . u Happy Belated Birthday! * though i have wished you, saying one more time will not cause me to lose a pound of flesh* haha

Tree in Ngee Ann Polytechnic

If you have been going back to school during the holidays, you might have noticed that some tree are cut down till they are bare. One of my friends even comment that it looks like their limbs getting cut off..

You can find these bare trees at the school bus stop, the stairway to the library, the bridges near the basket ball court and lastly the white shelter way area toward canteen 2.

I have been reporting to school regularly thus I notice that these tree are growing at a shocking rate.

Here a shot of the tree next to the Stairway. The first time I saw it, there was not even a single leaves on the branches. Picture below was taken 3 weeks after that and look how much it had grown.. [note:pic taken on 28th Sept]

Whenever I look at the the growth of these cut down tree, it bring me joy and peace. You might be shock to see the tree appearance when school reopen..

Campaign of the day:
SAVE THE TREES, STOP DEFORESTATION!
